Meet Dr. Scott Keys
Dr. Scott Keys has been caring for patients for over 30 years, bringing a thoughtful, down-to-earth approach to dentistry that puts people at ease the moment they walk through the door. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in 1996 and began his career in Louisiana, where he later opened his own practice in his hometown of Bossier City.
Over the years, Dr. Keys has stayed committed to learning and growing in his field, completing more than 3,000 hours of advanced training. His experience spans everything from routine care to more complex treatments like dental implants, full-mouth rehabilitation, cosmetic dentistry, and TMJ therapy. No matter the procedure, his focus is always the same: helping patients feel comfortable, informed, and confident in their care.
Dr. Keys has also spent time teaching other dentists across the country, sharing his knowledge through continuing education programs and study clubs. While he’s proud of that work, his true passion has always been working one-on-one with patients and building lasting relationships.
After practicing in Texas for several years, Dr. Keys made his way to the Colorado mountains and founded Colorado Dental Co. in 2020. Today, he serves the Idaho Springs community, providing care that’s rooted in trust, honesty, and a genuine commitment to doing what’s best for each patient.
Outside the office, Dr. Keys enjoys bow hunting and competitive archery, but around here, he’s best known for taking the time to listen, explain, and make sure every patient feels right at home.
